About The Event
Azamgarh Public School joyfully celebrated its Annual Sports Day today with great enthusiasm and spirit. The occasion symbolized the development of teamwork, discipline, leadership qualities, sportsmanship, and self-confidence among students. The entire school campus was filled with energy, excitement, and a healthy sense of competition.
The program began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Mr. Shubham Todi, DSP and CO City, Azamgarh. He was warmly welcomed by the Scouts and Guides, followed by a melodious welcome song presented by the students. All dignitaries were honored with mementos, ceremonial shawls, and floral bouquets. This was followed by the hoisting of the school flag, release of doves conveying a message of peace, torch relay, disciplined march-past, and balloon release. Subsequently, the Chief Guest formally inaugurated the sports festival.
The school Principal, Mrs. Rupal Pandya, administered the oath to the athletes, encouraging them to uphold honesty, discipline, and true sportsmanship throughout the competitions.
Students from Nursery to Class 9 showcased their talents through various drill displays and sports events. Participants who excelled in the competitions were awarded prizes in recognition of their achievements. A special highlight of the program was the thrilling Mallakhamb performance by students of the Government School of Harria, which captivated the audience.
The event concluded with impressive performances by students, including pyramid formations, skating, judo-karate, and gymnastics, earning loud applause from the spectators.
At the end of the program, the School Manager, Mr. C. A. Mohammad Noman, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, parents, teachers, and students for their cooperation and support.
The event was further graced by the presence of distinguished guests such as Mr. Ajendra Rai (International Badminton Umpire), Mr. Vishwanath Ram (Finance and Accounts Officer, Basic and Secondary Education), Prof. Amarjeet (Khelo India Coach), Dr. Shafiuzzama, and Mr. Mohammad Arif Naseem.
The grand success of this event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the Vice Principal, Ms. Runa Khan, along with the committed teachers, sports coaches, staff members, and students.
