Scouts and Guides Wing of Azamgarh Public School organized a 5-Day Pravesh and Pratham Shopan Scouts and Guides Camp under Bharat Scouts and Guides, Uttar Pradesh, from 23rd April to 27th April 2024 in the school campus. The camp was inaugurated by the school Principal Ms. Rupal Pandya and Vice Principal Ms Runa Khan by hoisting the Scouts Flag in the presence of school Scouts and Guides In-charge and Leader of Scouts Team, Mr. Mohd Shahid, Leader of Cubs Team, Mr. Mohammad Zahid Khan, Leader of Guides Team, Ms. Oozma Khan and Leader of Bulbuls Team, Ms. Sumaiyya Nafees. Moreover, the Leader of the Course (LOC), Dr. Shafiuzzama, took a session of the trainees on the Fundamentals of the Scouting. The other Trainers of the Camp were Mr. Awadhesh Kumar, Mr. Mohd Sadiq and Mr Ajeet Yadav.

In this 5-Day Camp, besides Marching and B. P. – 6 Exercises, the trainees were taught lots of life skill techniques like tying different types of Knots for daily usage and rescue operations, First Aid Skills like making Human Stretchers with the help of two arms, three arms and four arms, doing dressing of wounds with the help of Scout Scarves etc., for medical emergencies, Tent Pitching and Bridge Making for camping and calamity situations and Cooking etc. by four trainers.

On the last day, the Trainees demonstrated all the above life skill techniques by performing them, themselves. Finally, the Trainees performed many cultural activities in the Closing Ceremony which was presided over by the school manager, Mr. Mohammad Noman.
