Azamgarh Public School, near Kotila Checkpost, celebrated Sir Syed Day 2025 with great enthusiasm to honor the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the great educationist, reformer, and founder of Aligarh Muslim University.
The program was presided over by Dr. Javed Akhtar, Senior Orthopedic Specialist, while the Chief Guest was Dr. Anjani Kumar Mishra, Registrar of Maharaja Suheldev University, Azamgarh. Distinguished guests included Mr. Gulshanowar (PCS), Mr. Rizwan Ahmad (PCS), and Prof. Sarfaraz Nawaz.
The event began with a warm welcome by the school’s Scout and Guide students, followed by a tree plantation drive spreading the message of growth and knowledge. Guests were honored with flower bouquets, mementos, and shawls as a mark of respect.
Mr. Mohammad Noman, School Manager, welcomed everyone and spoke about Sir Syed’s vision of education and reform. The program included Qirat and Naat, student speeches, group songs, a skit, the quiz “Know Sir Syed”, and a poster & slogan exhibition, making the celebration lively and educational.
Senior students also held a panel discussion on “Bridging Tradition and Modernity in Education,” highlighting the importance of Sir Syed’s ideas today. The speech competition, skit, and creative displays were highly appreciated by all.
Many respected guests, including Mr. Niyaz Ahmad Jamali, Dr. Ghiyas Asad Khan, Dr. Shafiuzzama, Dr. Amir Alam, Dr. Zubair, and Prof. Mohammad Tahir, graced the event with their presence.
In her vote of thanks, Principal Ms. Roopal Pandya expressed gratitude to all guests, teachers, and students, saying that Sir Syed’s message of knowledge and unity still inspires us today.
The program concluded with the prize distribution, AMU Tarana, and the National Anthem. Vice Principal Ms. Runa Khan, along with all staff members, attended this memorable and inspiring celebration.
